Entry Level Production Associate

Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionThe Production Associate works in a clean, organized warehouse and lab environment, handling incoming milk samples from farms and supporting daily production and testing activities. This role focuses on receiving and logging samples, building and packaging kits, scanning vials into the computer system, performing light data entry, and assisting with cleaning lab equipment and glassware. Team members rotate between different stations, offering variety in day-to-day tasks and exposure to multiple aspects of the operation.

Responsibilities

• Receive milk samples from farms and accurately log them into the warehouse and lab systems.
• Build and assemble sample kits (referred to as "standards") according to established procedures.
• Package samples and kits securely to ensure proper handling and transport.
• Scan vials into the computer system and maintain accurate digital records.
• Perform light data entry to update and track sample information and workflow status.
• Rotate through different workstations in the warehouse and lab as needed to support operations.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, including washing vials, test tubes, and related glassware.
• Handle coolers containing milk samples, including occasional lifting of heavier items when required.
• Follow all safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards in the warehouse and lab areas.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding workflow, personal schedule needs, and any issues that arise.

Essential Skills

• Good math skills to handle counting, basic calculations, and accurate logging of samples.
• Computer literacy, including the ability to use scanning systems and perform light data entry.
• Ability to work on your feet for most of the day in a warehouse and lab environment.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds on rare occasions, with typical lifting in the 1020 pound range.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and data recording.
• Reliability and consistency in following established procedures and safety guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with packaging processes in a warehouse or production environment.
• Familiarity with shipping tools or systems such as WorldShip or similar platforms.
• Comfort working around food-related products and mild odors, such as a slight milk smell.
• Willingness to rotate between different stations and tasks as operational needs change.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate with the team and share schedule or personal needs in advance.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Mounds View, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
