The Electrical Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to ensure safe and reliable operation. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, identifying electrical and communication system faults, and restoring chargers to service while adhering to applicable safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot EV charging stations to ensure their safe and reliable operation.
• Diagnose and repair AC/DC electrical systems, wiring, circuits, breakers, and EV charging equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and communication systems.
• Identify and resolve electrical and communication system faults promptly.
• Comply with safety standards and procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols.
• Document maintenance activities and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.

Essential Skills

• Expertise in electrical troubleshooting and repair of AC/DC systems.
• Experience with Level 2 and DC Fast Charging stations and their components.
• Proficiency in using electrical test equipment and interpreting schematics.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and procedures.
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking and communication systems related to EV chargers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

Work shifts include 5:30 pm to 4:00 am from Sunday to Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday, alternating every other Wednesday. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and standards while working with advanced technology in a collaborative environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.20 - $56.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
