Demolition Laborer

Job Title: Demolition Laborer5 week demolition project. This job will take place in Irvine, CA. Work days will be the first two weeks of December. (Holiday break) 4 weeks in January.Job DescriptionThe Demolition Laborer will assist with the safe removal, handling, staging, and disposal or storage of existing photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and related mounting components. This physically demanding construction position requires employees who are comfortable working outdoors, handling large solar modules, using basic hand and power tools, and adhering to strict jobsite safety procedures.Responsibilities

• Assist electricians and solar crews with the removal of existing solar panels.
• Carefully lift, carry, lower, and stage PV modules to prevent injury or damage.
• Remove or assist with removal of racking, mounting hardware, brackets, rails, and other solar components.
• Use basic hand and power tools, including impact drivers, drills, sockets, wrenches, pry bars, and related equipment.
• Sort and stage removed materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal as directed.
• Load and unload tools, equipment, solar panels, and construction materials.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas and remove demolition debris.
• Follow instructions from the electrical foreman, superintendent, or site supervisor.
• Follow site-specific fall-protection, ladder, PPE, and electrical-safety requirements.
• Immediately report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or potential hazards to supervision.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with power and hand tools.
• Construction and commercial construction experience.
• General labor and mechanical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, demolition, roofing, solar, or electrical labor is preferred.
• Ability to safely perform repetitive lifting and material handling.
• Comfortable working outdoors for extended periods and from ladders or elevated work areas.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and established safety procedures.
• Reliable transportation to the Irvine jobsite.
• Dependable attendance and ability to report to work on time.
• Must wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility vest, and work boots.
