Cnc Operator

Job Title: CNC OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking experienced CNC operators who thrive in a custom shop environment. The role involves working with advanced CNC machinery, specifically 3-5 axis machines, to set up, deburr parts, and perform offsets independently. Ideal candidates should have hands-on experience with Okuma, Haas, Puma, Moriseiki CNC mills and lathes.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced setup, calibration, operation, and monitoring of CNC machinery to process raw materials safely and efficiently.
• Interpret production work orders and technical blueprints to conduct in-process quality inspections, ensuring all finished pieces conform to design specifications.
• Load and unload raw materials, manage material flow, operate forklifts, track shop inventory, and process data like scrap logs.
• Maintain fluid levels, troubleshoot basic mechanical issues, and keep assigned work areas, tools, and machinery clean and orderly.

Essential Skills

• Understanding of G&M codes, touch off tooling, and loading parameters based on program layouts.
• Experience with CNC setup, tooling, and quality control.
• Ability to perform full setups and maintain high-quality standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with 4 or 5 axis CNC machines, including performing setups and deburring parts.
• Proficiency with lathe, mill, calipers, bore gauges, and micrometers.
• Knowledge of changeovers, tolerances, and tooling changes.
