NOW HIRING ENTRY LEVEL CLEANROOM OPERATORS - NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Job DescriptionThe Cleanroom Production Operator works on both manual and automated packaging lines in a fast-paced production environment. You will assemble and package products, monitor automated equipment, and follow strict manufacturing processes to ensure consistent quality. This role involves standing for most of the shift, rotating between stations on the line, and working closely with a small team to achieve daily packaging goals.Responsibilities
- Work on the manual packaging line by building boxes, weighing boxes, and completing assigned packaging tasks as products move down the line.
- Rotate between 57 different stations on the packaging line so that tasks are shared and no one remains in a single position all day.
- Collaborate closely with team members on the packaging line to meet production and packaging targets.
- Support the automated packaging line by monitoring a machine that performs packaging operations, ensuring cartridges and parts are packed correctly by the equipment.
- Monitor all screens of the automated packaging machine, promptly identify any error messages, remove affected parts, reset the machine, and check for defects before restarting.
- Act as the primary operator for the automated line when assigned, including monitoring the control screen and loading materials into the machine.
- Load materials into the staging area for the automated line, replenish parts as needed, and ensure each station has sufficient inventory to prevent machine stoppages.
- Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) without deviation to maintain product quality and compliance.
- Perform visual inspections and basic quality assurance checks to identify and remove defective parts or packaging.
- Operate production and packaging machinery safely and efficiently in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail while working in a fast-paced, repetitive production setting.
- Support other departments and work at additional buildings when needed, adapting to different stations and tasks to help meet overall production demands.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, cleanliness standards, and manufacturing processes while working closely with machinery and automated equipment.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in production, packaging, or general manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with machine operation or automated equipment in a manufacturing setting, preferably operating manufacturing machines.
- Ability to stand for the majority of the shift and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality assurance and defect detection.
- Ability to follow strict manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) without deviation.
- Comfort working closely with machines and automated lines, including monitoring screens and responding to error messages.
- Capability to read and follow work instructions accurately.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively on a small production line with 57 team members.
- Willingness and flexibility to rotate between stations and support different departments or buildings as needed.

You will stand for most of your shift and work on a fast-paced line with a small team. The environment can be loud due to the operation of industrial equipment, and you will spend much of your time near or at machines. The primary schedule follows an alternative work schedule (AWS) on first shift, Monday through Thursday, from 4:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime paid only for hours worked over 40 in a week. The company may occasionally reassign you to support other departments or a nearby building, and you are expected to be flexible with station assignments and work locations to meet production needs while maintaining steady employment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
