Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a highly automated semiconductor cleanroom facility where all work is performed under strict cleanliness and safety standards. Operators wear full personal protective equipment, including a hooded full-body cleanroom gown (bunny suit), hairnet and/or beard net, safety glasses, face mask or face shield, latex or nitrile and nylon gloves, and a chemical apron. The cleanroom is air conditioned and well ventilated, though wearing the gown can make it feel warm at times during the day. Work is performed on 12-hour shifts, either 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Day Shift) or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. (Night Shift), on a compressed workweek schedule alternating between 3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off, which requires working every other weekend and may include additional overtime when needed. Night shifts receive a 15% shift differential incentive, and training for night shift may initially occur on day shift depending on the learning curve.
