Mechanical Assembly Technician Location: Maryland Heights, MO 63043Pay: $18.00 to $28.00/hourJob Type: Contract-to-HireShift: 1st ShiftSchedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PMWorkplace: On-site Job Summary We are hiring a Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a production and electrical assembly team. This position involves using hand and power tools to mechanically assemble and install automated components used in manufacturing.Candidates must have strong mechanical aptitude, assembly experience, and the ability to accurately read a tape measure. Safety, attention to detail, and teamwork are important in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of equipment and components
• Install automated parts and components used in manufacturing
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly work
• Accurately read and use a tape measure
• Read and follow blueprints and assembly instructions
• Assist with electrical assembly tasks
• Work in different production areas as needed
• Maintain a strong focus on quality and workplace safety
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently
• Regularly lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
• Strong attention to detail
• Safety-conscious mindset
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must provide your own required tools

• Tape measure
• Metric and standard wrenches
• Metric and standard sockets
• Ball-peen hammer
• Dead-blow hammer
• Flathead screwdriver
• Phillips screwdriver

Preferred Experience

• Mechanical assembly

• Carpentry
• Production or manufacturing
• Hand and power tools

Schedule & Work Environment

• Monday through Friday
• 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Some overtime may extend the shift to approximately 3:30 PM
• Non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment
• Hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly work
