  • Perform simple mechanical assembly of rectangular metal pieces to build unit frames using hand and power tools.
  • Own the box building process by accurately aligning, attaching, and securing frame components according to specifications.
  • Move completed units on carts or wheels to the designated boxing area in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Complete box finishing by wrapping cardboard around finished units and stapling securely to prepare for shipment.
  • Reach around and above units to wrap and secure packaging, using dexterity to ensure a tight and clean finish.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and correctly throughout the assembly and finishing processes.
  • Lift and handle parts weighing 3040 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift, maintaining proper lifting techniques.
  • Stand for extended periods (at least 8 hours per day) while performing assembly and finishing tasks.
  • Follow established production, quality, and safety standards to meet or exceed company expectations.
  • Work collaboratively in a fabrication and assembly environment, moving units between workstations as needed.
  • Maintain an organized work area and contribute to an orderly and efficient assembly flow.
  • Adhere to all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and dress code policies at all times on the production floor.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a role that required standing for at least 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to repetitively lift 3040 pound parts up to 50 or more times per day.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in mechanical or production environments.
  • Ownership of steel-toed or composite-toed protective shoes suitable for production work.
  • Ability to work safely while consistently producing high-quality work that meets defined standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in an assembly, production, or general labor setting.
  • Capability to follow instructions, production processes, and safety guidelines in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience performing assembly work in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Background in roles such as assembly line worker, machine operator, warehouse worker, production worker, or general laborer.
  • Comfort using hand tools and power tools regularly throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work effectively in an organized but space-limited assembly area.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency when assembling and finishing units.

Why Work Here? You join a temperature-controlled facility that values employee growth and well-being, offering clear opportunities to advance into higher-level and higher-paying roles. You receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid holidays, additional floating holidays, and generous paid time off with 120 hours of vacation and 40 hours of sick time per year, available from day one and accrued over time. The organization supports your long-term financial security with a 401(k) plan that includes matching contributions, adding an extra 2% outside of your own contribution up to 6%. You also gain access to tuition assistance to support your professional development, along with health, dental, and vision coverage that can be elected within 30 days and applied retroactively to your first day of employment. Work EnvironmentThe work takes place in a standard fabrication and assembly operation divided into two main areas: a fabrication area and a main production (assembly) area. The fabrication area includes a large laser cutting machine, deburring stations, brazing stations, and workstations for basic hand tool tasks. The main production area is dedicated to assembly, where units move on carts from station to station rather than on conveyors. The dress code and PPE requirements include steel-toed or composite-toed shoes (which employees must provide), safety glasses, protective cut sleeves, and cut-resistant gloves worn throughout the plant. Employees must wear pants made of cotton, canvas, or denim, worn at the waist and belted if needed, with no sweats, spandex, or nylon allowed. Hoods may not be worn over the head while working.
