Job Title: AIS 1st Shift Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionWe are seeking skilled mechanical assemblers for our military and defense facility located in Santa Ana, CA. This role operates on the 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, focusing on high-paced production with a goal of producing 5000 units a month. The work involves repetitive tasks, and candidates must have steel toe or composite toe shoes/boots.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assemblies in a manufacturing setting, preferably within aerospace, electronics, or medical industries.
- Utilize common hand tools and power tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, depth micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, multimeters, test boxes, or specialized test equipment.
- Read wiring diagrams and follow assembly instructions accurately.
- Effectively communicate with engineering and production teams both verbally and in writing.
- Rapidly change roles and responsibilities while adapting to a high-paced, challenging work environment.
- Possibility for overtime and weekend shifts as needed.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting performing mechanical assemblies.
- Proficiency in computer use including standard browser and word processing applications.
- Working knowledge of common electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with air-frame construction techniques including rivets, mechanical fasteners, nut plates, etc.
- Skill in electronic box assembly troubleshooting and writing detailed issue tickets for failures.
- Capability to perform validation and testing of electronic components using multimeters, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and test racks.
- Experience in testing and running RF systems.
- Proficiency in soldering and component fabrication.
