3rd Shift PM Mechanic

Job Title: Conveyor MechanicJob DescriptionThis is a position responsible for predictive and preventative maintenance work during the 3rd shift (10:30 PM - 7:00 AM) in a 700,000 sq. ft. distribution center. The role involves responding to service calls, providing mechanical and technical support, and troubleshooting automated material handling system components, ensuring smooth operations during the day.Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, servicing, and repair of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision.
• Conduct mechanical and lubrication tasks on automated material handling equipment, including belt installations and adjustments.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs on various equipment such as pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, and electronic systems.
• Assist in formulating preventative maintenance standards and provide feedback on service delivery discrepancies.
• Troubleshoot and repair material handling equipment, pneumatic systems, and automated conveyor systems.
• Participate in cleaning conveyor systems and maintenance areas.
• Conduct daily inspections as required by site guidelines.
• Perform general facility maintenance tasks including light plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and lifts.
• Utilize hand and power tools for repairs and maintenance.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing process/production equipment maintenance.
• Strong mechanical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
• Knowledge of hand/power tools, precision alignment, rigging, welding, and blueprints.
• Command of safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out.
• Experience with CMMS systems for work order and inspection documentation.
• Basic math skills for inventory and measurement conversion accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Previous operation of powered equipment, specifically Crown MHE, and industrial vehicles.
• Certified 5S experience and sortation experience are preferred.
• PLC knowledge is a plus but not required.
