1st Shift Assembler/Trimmer

Aerotek is hiring for a 1st Shift Assembler/Trimmer!Job DescriptionWe are seeking a diligent and skilled Shift Assembler/Trimmer to join our team on the 1st shift. You will be responsible for assembling products, inspecting materials, and ensuring compliance with manufacturing specifications. This role involves operating hydraulic and hand presses, utilizing various hand and power tools, and supporting other assembly functions.Responsibilities

• Assemble products and inspect materials for compliance with manufacturing specifications using work instructions, work orders, sketches, and engineering drawings.
• Set up and operate hydraulic and hand presses.
• Use various hand-tools and power-tools such as pneumatic torque wrench, screwdriver, and electric drill for assembling, wiring, cleaning, rustproofing, and handling filters and components.
• Inspect final assembly and/or product to ensure quality meets all specifications.
• Perform additional assembly support functions including washing, testing, and various job tasks within the department.
• Utilize company-wide computer system to check on stock, access engineering drawings, and manage work order status and other job-related manufacturing transactions.
• Disassemble filters returned for credit, as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience with assembly and use of hand tools, blueprint reading, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Capability to perform mechanical assembly and preventive maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to multi-task and support various functions within the shop area including assembly, sub-assembly, rotomold trimming and assembly, parts washing, and material handling.
• Cross-functional and cross-training capabilities.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
