Original job description

An ideal candidate applies their technical knowledge and structured project leadership techniques to leverage their formal education, technical training, supporting skill sets, and prior work experience to continuously reduce project risks throughout execution. This position is expected to operate independently as a project task lead, as an individual contributor, as a technical consultant, as a project champion, and as structured product development mentor for the engineering staff.

This is a high exposure position for a technically competent product development leader looking for an opportunity with matrix management responsibilities to take things to the next level. Work with Systems Engineers to incorporate traceable hardware requirements, software requirements, use cases, and acceptance test procedures to direct and coordinate development activities and meet customer contract requirements.
Work with SMEs to directly support the creation of project documentation such as work estimates, project plans, resource loaded schedules, requirements specifications, interface control documents, acceptance test procedures, design assurance test procedures, operational models, and other contractually defined development deliverables.
Lead risk reduction planning, maintain decision matrixes, journalize development rationale information, and secure project artifacts using designated enterprise database tools and storage systems.
Lead meetings onsite, in-person, and remotely with various video conferencing tools.
Perform related or other supporting engineering work assignments as business needs require.
Travel infrequently to off-site domestic locations as needed (0-10%).
