Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring PMTS Software Development Engineer to Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like Buildkite, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins to ensure smooth and reliable software delivery. Contribute to major components of our CI platforms whilst leading a group of individual contributors. Work with stakeholders across many component teams to help modernize their developer workflows. Contribute to adjacent open-source projects taking leadership roles within them as needed. Utilize knowledge of computers and electronics, including circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic equipment, as well as knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, and testing of various company proprietary products.

Travel required: NO Qualifications: Degree required Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field. Qualifications: Amount and type of experience required: Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role. Alternate combination of education and experience: Employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or related field and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.

Specific skills required: The following skills are required:

• Software verification;
• Unix or Linux environments;
• C, C++, Perl, and Python;
• Linux or Windows internals;
• Machine-Learning;
• Object Oriented design;
• Multi-threading;
• SQL and MS SQL server;
• Git;
• Data structures;
• Open source software development;
• Cloud technologies; and
• AWS, Azure, or GCP.
