Shipping Clerk 1st Shift Phoenix AZ

Shipping Clerk Location: Phoenix, AZ 85040 Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM Pay: $18/hr Work Environment: Onsite Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support daily receiving and shipping operations in a fast-paced optical manufacturing environment. This position involves receiving, matching, sorting, and moving eyeglass frames and lenses to the appropriate departments for processing. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working on their feet, and willing to assist in different areas to support daily production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and match eyeglass frames and lenses accurately.
• Verify incoming materials and ensure items are routed to the correct departments.
• Organize and move materials throughout the facility to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Use computer systems to track and process materials as needed.
• Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling optical products.
• Cross-train in different areas and assist other departments based on business needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with additional shipping, receiving, and general warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No previous experience required; training will be provided.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn company systems.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to cross-train and move between different workstations.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed based on business demands.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in optical manufacturing, shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Additional Information This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with the potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
