Shipping and Receiving Associate

Warehouse Worker – Forklift Operator Ames, IA | $19.00/hour | 1st Shift | Temp-to-Hire Adecco is hiring dependable Warehouse Workers for a manufacturing facility in Ames, IA! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with the goal of joining the company permanently for associates who demonstrate strong attendance, reliability, and a good work ethic. • $19.00/hour
• Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–1:30 PM
• No weekends!
• Busy season runs January–June and requires overtime, with shifts often extending to 10 hours.
• Weekend work is rare.

Job Responsibilities

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Receive, inspect, stage, and store materials and finished products.
• Prepare shipping paperwork, labels, and bills of lading.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse organization.
• Move materials throughout the facility using forklifts and other equipment.
• Operate an electric sit-down forklift approximately 5% of the time.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience.
• Previous sit-down forklift experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs independently.
• Comfortable walking 5,000–10,000 steps per day and staying active throughout the shift.
• Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screenings.

Pay Details: $19.00 per hour
