CNC Machinist – Gun Drilling / Milling / Turning Location: Livonia, MI Shift: 1st Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday Employment Type: Direct Hire Adecco Permanent Recruitment Team has partnered with a leading precision manufacturing company in Livonia, MI to identify an experienced CNC Machinist with a strong background in gun drilling orm milling. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who enjoys working in a high-precision, job-shop environment and takes pride in producing quality parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to manufacture precision parts
- Determine appropriate tooling, work holding and machining processes
- Set up and operate CNC mills and CNC gun drills
- Produce high-quality parts within required specifications and tolerances
- Inspect completed parts using appropriate measuring tools
- Follow verbal and written work instructions and operator certification requirements
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams
Qualifications
- Approximately 10 years of CNC machining experience preferred
- CNC milling and/or gun drilling experience
- Strong job shop machining experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Knowledge of tooling, work holding and machining techniques
- Strong math and measurement skills
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- SolidWorks and/or Mastercam experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining challenges
- Understanding of quality-at-the-source principles
- Commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement
- Willingness to work within ISO/QS 9000 quality standards
- High school diploma or GED
