Original job description
Company Overview:
Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.
The Position:
ACET is hiring a Wing Scheduler for the 509th Bomb Wing and 509th Operations Group at Whiteman AFB, Missouri.
The Wing Scheduler supports Wing Scheduling for the 509th Operations Group. The qualifications are the same as a squadron aircrew scheduler; the work is unit-level planning rather than individual crew management. Whiteman hosts the 131st Bomb Wing, a Missouri Air National Guard associate unit that flies the B-2A alongside the 509th, so alignment of the long-range flying program across active and Guard units is a daily consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and sustain a comprehensive long-range scheduling system, including tanker prioritization and agile combat employment operations.
- Work with operational units to align long-term mission planning with Group objectives.
- Optimize resources and keep the flying program strategically aligned with associate Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command units and with AFGSC goals.
- Analyze historical mission data to sharpen future planning.
- Produce detailed reports for Operations Group leadership decision-making.
- Train Operations Group personnel on the long-range scheduling system and transfer knowledge so the Group becomes self-sufficient with it.
- Coordinate with outside agencies, exercise participants, and higher headquarters, including RED FLAG, GREEN FLAG, and Weapons School support, for exercise and special event scheduling.
- Maintain scheduling data in PEX and locally developed systems and publish unit-level long-range and short-range schedules.
- Provide inputs to the daily Supervisor of Flying and Top 3 schedules.
- Obtain aircraft and equipment availability from maintenance and incorporate it into unit-level schedules.
- Attend Special Use Airspace, Airspace Restrictions, and Range Scheduling meetings for coordination and deconfliction.
Qualifications:
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working as a squadron aircrew scheduler.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience with PEX or a similar proprietary scheduling program.
