Company Overview:

Adams Communication & Engineering Technology (ACET), Incorporated is a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) system engineering and information technology firm. Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. ACET, Inc.’s technical, programmatic, and analytical professionals are experts in commercial technology, customized solutions, and proprietary government systems.

The Position:

This position is awaiting contract award.

ACT is hiring an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) Program Manager for the 509th Bomb Wing and 509th Operations Group at Whiteman AFB, Missouri. The 509th Bomb Wing operates the B-2A.

The EFB Program Manager keeps the Operations Group's electronic flight bag devices, stand-alone computers and electronic publications current, secure and accounted for. In a B-2A group the aircrew population is smaller than at the B-52 bases and the publication set is specialized, which puts a premium on accuracy over volume and on fast turnaround when safety-of-flight guidance changes. The position also carries equipment custodian responsibility for all EFB hardware in the Group.

Responsibilities:

  • Run the Wing and Operations Group EFB program under AFGSCI 11-270 and Baseline Configuration announcements.
  • Hold the primary Wing EFB Program Manager appointment, maintain the designated alternate, and keep Wing and squadron appointment letters current and filed with the AFGSC/A3T EFB Workflow mailbox; serve as liaison to AFGSC/A3TV.
  • Perform device maintenance, upgrades, patching and restoration above squadron level using administrative access to the MDM console, ForeFlight administration and EUSA computers.
  • Administer the EFB fleet in BlackBerry UEM or the designated successor MDM, including account creation and removal, lost-and-stolen tracking and compliance audits.
  • Work with the Stan/Eval Technical Order Distribution Officer and squadron EFB Managers to keep Technical Orders, Currency of Directives, Flight Crew Information Files, Special Interest Items and FLIP current on every EUSA computer and standardized across SharePoint and shared drives, meeting the 24-hour standard for safety-of-flight changes.
  • Act as the primary Equipment Custodian for all Group EFB hardware, tracking inventory, coordinating replacements, and managing disposals or turn-ins.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
  • Prior experience with military flight operations, Stan/Eval functions, or aviation Technical Order distribution.
  • Proficiency with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, preferably BlackBerry UEM or modern equivalent configurations.
  • Experience administering ForeFlight or similar Electronic Flight Bag software applications.
  • Strong technical literacy with Exclusive Use Stand-Alone (EUSA) computer systems, SharePoint, and network folder management.
