Job Title: Test Technician - IntrusionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Test Technician to join our team specializing in Vehicle Dynamics and Body Sealing & Splash. This full-time, onsite role requires reporting to our Milford, MI location during the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The ideal candidate will support various tasks related to body sealing, water intrusion, and vehicle dynamics, demonstrating exceptional communication and people skills to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle handling testing.
- Conduct Vehicle Inertia Measurement Facility (VIMF) tests to assess vehicle inertia.
- Execute benchmarking tests on competitor vehicles.
- Conduct full body airflow tests.
- Perform water and dust intrusion tests.
- Dismantle and reassemble various vehicles, including competitor models.
- Support operations within Building 7, focusing on ceiling/splash and vehicle handling groups.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; Associate degree in an automotive field preferred.
- ASE/State Master Mechanic Certification or equivalent experience is advantageous.
- At least 2 years of experience in electrical and/or mechanical fields.
- Experience working in dealerships, independent shops, or similar automotive settings.
Work EnvironmentThe position is located in Building 7, where the technician will work closely with the ceiling/splash group and vehicle handling facility group. The work involves exposure to various vehicles, including million-dollar models, and requires the use of personal basic hand tools, while specialty tools are provided onsite. The role offers extensive experience with diverse vehicle types, including GM and competitor vehicles, in a dynamic and challenging environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Milford, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
