Job Title: Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO)Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to ensure the safety requirements of EM 385-1-1 Section 1 and 29 CFR 1926.16 are met for our projects. The SSHO will be responsible for implementing and administering the safety program and Accident Prevention Plan at the project site.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 Section 1 and 29 CFR 1926.16 requirements.
• Provide a Safety oversight team with at least one person at each project site to function as the SSHO.
• Implement and administer the Contractor's safety program and Government-accepted Accident Prevention Plan.
• Ensure SSHO and Alternate SSHO have the required training, experience, and qualifications as per EM 385-1-1 Section 01.A.17 and all associated sub-paragraphs.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in Usace, RMS, and construction management.
• Experience in quality control, construction inspection, and site safety.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and military construction quality management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Completion of Initial SOH Training.
• OSHA 30-hour general industry or construction safety training, or equivalent training if approved by local SOHO.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based at Patrick Space Force Base. The work involves ensuring safety protocols are followed in a dynamic construction environment, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Patrick Space Force Base, FL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
