Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality EngineerJob DescriptionThe Quality Engineer will support the Quality Manager and Quality Department in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This individual will investigate supplier and internal non-conformances, perform root cause analysis, support MRB activities, manage corrective actions, and interface with engineers, inspectors, suppliers, and manufacturing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot quality issues and review and close NCRs.
• Monitor supplier performance and support AS9100 compliance efforts.
• Generate quality metrics and reports.
• Review FAIR documentation to AS9102 standards.
• Evaluate manufacturing and testing processes.
• Support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with receiving inspection, engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to drive timely resolution of quality issues.
• Maintain compliance with company and customer standards.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, 5+ years preferred.
• Experience with AS9100 quality systems.
• Experience completing or reviewing First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102).
• Strong troubleshooting and investigative skills.
• Experience with NCRs, MRBs, corrective actions, and supplier quality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• GD&T experience preferred.
• Experience with ECR/ECO processes preferred.
• Experience using ERP systems; Epicor experience is a plus.
• Aerospace experience preferred; medical device experience may also be considered.
• Degree preferred but not required if compensated by relevant experience.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in an aerospace manufacturing facility located in Chatsworth, CA. It is an onsite position within a fast-paced quality department that supports receiving inspection, manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers. The environment is highly collaborative with significant cross-training and professional development opportunities. The position offers a four-day work week from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Los Angeles, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41.00 - $48.08/hr.
