- Communicate proactively with suppliers to address quality issues, clarify requirements, and support continuous improvement in supplier quality.
- Work through the inspection backlog by reviewing, prioritizing, and completing inspections to ensure timely disposition of materials and products.
- Investigate and understand nonconformities, perform root cause analysis, and support corrective and preventive actions in alignment with QMS requirements.
- Update and maintain Quality Management System procedures to align with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards and with the new ERP processes.
- Review and refine Engineering Change Order (ECO) procedures to ensure accurate, controlled, and traceable changes within the QMS and ERP systems.
- Create, revise, and maintain quality standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation to support consistent inspection and quality control practices.
- Perform or support inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), including Keyence systems, to verify dimensional conformity of components.
- Support quality control and process verification activities in printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) fabrication and related manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to ensure quality requirements are embedded in ERP workflows.
- Ensure quality records, inspection data, and supplier quality documentation are accurately captured and maintained within the ERP and QMS.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline quality processes and enhance system usability within the new ERP environment.
Essential Skills
- Proven background in Quality Engineering with hands-on experience in manufacturing or related environments.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems, including implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

- Strong supplier communication skills, including the ability to address supplier quality issues and collaborate on corrective actions.
- Hands-on experience with quality inspections, including use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), such as Keyence systems.
- Familiarity with PCBA fabrication and inspection processes for printed circuit board assemblies.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards and their application in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Ability to create, review, and maintain quality SOPs and documentation with high attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience participating in ERP implementation projects, especially those involving SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA.
- Exposure to integrating quality processes and QMS requirements into ERP systems.
- Experience working in environments certified to AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Familiarity with inspection backlogs and strategies to reduce them efficiently while maintaining compliance.
- Comfort working with engineering change management processes and ECO workflows.
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to clearly communicate quality requirements and process changes to cross-functional teams.
