The position is based 100% onsite in Cape Canaveral and involves close collaboration with design, development, manufacturing, and vendor teams to support complex system configurations and test activities.Responsibilities

Coordinate with design, development, and manufacturing engineers to implement and deploy solutions that support system configuration, including test equipment and hardware components.
Build, test, and deploy satellite hardware and software components in accordance with engineering and industry standards.
Troubleshoot issues at both the unit and system level to isolate defects and determine root causes.
Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test procedures that validate system requirements and performance.
Document and analyze test cases, track results, and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
Update existing training documentation and online help materials to reflect changes and updates to systems and integrated logistics support.
Ensure all testing procedures comply with required industry standards and internal quality processes.
Coordinate with vendors to clarify and manage technical interface details and integration requirements.
Perform hands-on circuit board testing and troubleshooting using appropriate electronic test equipment.
Work with firmware, including loading images to chips and supporting hardware bring-up activities.
Support system verification activities and contribute to systems documentation throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes to resolve technical issues and prevent recurrence.
Carry out other engineering and test-related duties as assigned to support program and project objectives.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience with system integration and testing processes and requirements, including systems documentation, systems requirements, and systems verification.
Strong background in electronics and electrical engineering concepts, including circuit testing and circuit board evaluation.
Proficiency with electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters for diagnostic and verification activities.
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, including interpreting hardware schematics in tools such as Altium.
Experience performing circuit board testing and hands-on troubleshooting at the component and board level.
Experience working with firmware, including loading images to chips and supporting hardware and system bring-up from scratch.
Demonstrated capability in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Experience developing test plans, test procedures, and test cases for complex hardware and software systems.
Familiarity with test engineering practices, test development methodologies, and adherence to industry testing standards.
Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant technical field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with system engineering lifecycle tools to support requirements, verification, and documentation.
Experience with formal root cause and corrective action processes within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with Altium for schematic and PCB-related work.
Experience with SolidWorks or similar mechanical design tools for interpreting mechanical drawings and assemblies.
Experience with Python, Linux, Bash, or similar technologies for automation, scripting, or test environment configuration.
Knowledge of integrated logistics support concepts and the ability to update related documentation and online help.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills applied to complex electronic systems and satellite components.
Effective communication skills for documenting test results, creating training materials, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple test activities, prioritize tasks, and deliver accurate results within project timelines.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based 100% onsite in Cape Canaveral within a hands-on engineering and test environment focused on satellite hardware and software systems. The work involves regular interaction with electronic components, circuit boards, test equipment, and computer systems, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and firmware programming tools. You will collaborate closely with design, development, manufacturing, and vendor teams, working in laboratory and production settings where attention to detail, safety, and adherence to industry standards are essential.
