Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob DescriptionThe Electrical Engineer plans and drives the seamless integration of SES modules and components within Advanced Development Projects (ADP) and Production Development Projects (PDP). This role focuses on development, verification, and execution activities while collaborating with cross-system teams to integrate electronic control boards, embedded software, human-machine interfaces (HMIs), filters, wiring harnesses, and related electrical systems. The Electrical Engineer ensures that system-level solutions meet cost, quality, performance, and schedule targets throughout all phases of the product development process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage system integration activities for Advanced Development Projects (ADP) and Production Development Projects (PDP), ensuring cohesive operation of SES modules and components.
  • Generate, review, and align SES system-level requirements with stakeholders, ensuring clarity, completeness, and traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project scoping work and align appropriate cost, quality targets, and schedules with stakeholders to establish realistic and achievable project plans.
  • Ensure that all project development activities are completed on time and meet defined cost, quality, and performance targets in support of overall project plans and execution.
  • Own system-level design, cost, quality, and timing trade-offs, and make technical decisions to resolve issues within established architecture, project, and product plan guardrails.
  • Lead technical design reviews by collaborating with key development team members, including subsystem teams, verification and validation strategists, and project leaders, to assess compliance with architecture and product plans.
  • Consult with architecture development team members, such as system architects and subsystem subject matter experts, to address complex technical challenges and ensure alignment with system architecture.
  • Drive full system validation using predictive validation methodologies across concept, design, and product validation stages to ensure robust and reliable system performance.
  • Lead and promote product leadership by following and driving adherence to the internal product development process for SES systems and components.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams working on electronic control boards, embedded software, HMI integration, filters, wiring harnesses, and other electrical elements to achieve seamless integration.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience with electronic control boards, including integration and system-level interaction within complex products.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded software integration and collaboration with embedded software development teams.
  • Experience integrating human-machine interfaces (HMIs) into broader electrical and control systems.
  • Practical knowledge of wiring harnesses and electrical distribution within systems and products.
  • Strong background in electrical engineering with the ability to understand and evaluate system-level electrical architectures.
  • Ability to generate, review, and align system-level requirements with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage system integration activities across multiple technologies and subsystems.
  • Experience making system-level design, cost, quality, and timing trade-offs and driving technical decision-making.
  • Competence in leading technical design reviews and working with multidisciplinary teams, including subsystem teams and verification and validation specialists.
  • Familiarity with predictive validation methodologies and their application in concept, design, and product validation stages.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on Advanced Development Projects (ADP) and Production Development Projects (PDP) or similar structured product development frameworks.
  • Exposure to structured product development processes and stage-gate methodologies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills, with the ability to articulate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.
  • Ability to collaborate with system architects, subsystem subject matter experts, and verification and validation strategists to solve complex technical issues.
  • Organizational skills to coordinate multiple activities and maintain alignment with cost, quality, performance, and schedule objectives.
