Coordinate the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems using computer-assisted engineering and design software and tools.
Evaluate the feasibility of designing new equipment or modifying existing equipment, considering costs, time limitations, organizational planning, and technical and economic factors.
Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to help establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
Prepare product and system layouts, detailed drawings, and electrical schematics for control and power distribution systems.
Prepare and compile calculations and technical documentation to support product designs and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Apply knowledge of machine design and parts design for machinery that incorporates control systems and electrical components.
Develop and implement computer-based software systems that support equipment control, monitoring, and performance.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and back-office teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and aligned with project requirements.
Utilize PLC programming skills to implement basic machine controls and integrate large motors and drive controllers into industrial equipment.
Reference and apply relevant electrical codes and standards during the design and documentation process.
Use tools such as AutoCAD and MRP systems to support design, documentation, and production planning activities.
Communicate clearly in writing and verbally to explain design decisions, resolve technical issues, and support cross-functional collaboration.
Participate in internal training classes and continuous learning activities to deepen knowledge of products, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
