  • Create, update, and maintain electrical schematics, panel layouts, and related technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, P&ID diagrams, and loop drawings where applicable to produce accurate documentation.
  • Assist the engineering team with control panel testing and update drawings based on test results, redlines, and feedback.
  • Manage and grow the CAD library of hardware components to ensure accuracy, consistency, and standardization across projects.
  • Maintain and manage the electronic CAD filing system on the corporate network, ensuring project files are well organized, current, and easily accessible.
  • Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOM) for control panel designs and ensure that all components are correctly specified.
  • Process and incorporate redlines provided by engineers, making precise changes and adjustments in CAD to reflect design revisions.
  • Create and update wire labels, terminal schedules, and enclosure details as part of comprehensive panel design documentation.
  • Update and modify enclosures in CAD to accommodate changes in layout, hardware, and wiring requirements.
  • Support large, complex building automation control panel projects, including work on packages such as 100 drawings with approximately 3000 I/O points for commercial applications.
  • Adapt drawings and documentation to meet varying customer specifications and regulatory requirements across multiple industries.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and other team members to meet project milestones and deadlines in a project-based environment.
  • Coordinate with a mid-sized drafting and engineering team, supporting three engineers and two other drafters on concurrent projects.
  • Ensure that all electrical drafting work aligns with MEP or related standards and supports building automation systems.
