Design Engineer

What You'll Do

• Design new products, assemblies, and custom components using Creo, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software.
• Create 3D models, engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
• Translate customer requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions.
• Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve product quality, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Support prototype development, product testing, and first-article builds.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and customers throughout the product lifecycle.
• Assist with tooling, fixtures, gauges, and 3D printing projects.
• Participate in product validation, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and quality initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-4 years of product design or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Creo, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software.
• Strong mechanical design, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Experience

• Plastic injection molding and plastics product design.
• DFM, DFA, Lean Manufacturing, DFMEA, and PFMEA methodologies.
• Tooling, fixtures, gauges, and 3D printing.
• Familiarity with UL, ANSI, NFPA, and related industry standards.
