Applications Engineer

Job Title: Applications EngineerSalary Range: $80,000-$100,000 Per Year (2-3+ years of experience)Our client is seeking an Applications Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will design, program, and commission advanced grinding and robotic systems for customers across a range of industries, while serving as a key technical resource throughout the project lifecycle from initial scope through on-site implementation and support.Key Responsibilities Develop new grinding and robotic applications for a variety of industries. Write and modify CNC and robotic programs for turnkey applications. Commission new grinding and robotic systems. Organize and provide training on grinding and robotic systems. Troubleshoot and debug systems, both in-house and at customer facilities. Work with new and existing customers to define the scope and design of new systems. Create documentation, including operational manuals, for customer use. Collaborate closely with other Weldon team members on each project. Travel to customer sites as needed, averaging approximately 20%.Qualifications Two-year Engineering degree, minimum, with hands-on machine tool or robotics experience; Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred. Experience in CNC machine tool programming; Fanuc experience preferred. Working knowledge of machine tools and manufacturing equipment in general. Experience with grinding processes is a plus. CAD/CAM experience is a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, VB, or .NET is a plus. Experience with automation and systems integration is a plus.Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of York, Pennsylvania. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
