Original job description

You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving - smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.

As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details.

THE WORK:

  • You’ll provide special inspection support for the LAWA Quality Assurance and Construction Inspection Division across multiple projects within LAWA’s Capital Improvement Program.
  • You’ll create and maintain comprehensive daily inspection reports documenting the who, what, when, where, and how of construction work activities, clearly and concisely reflecting daily progress.
  • You’ll conduct special inspections across applicable construction disciplines and verify compliance with building codes, regulations, and required construction standards.
  • You’ll review monthly progress payment requests when assigned to a program.
  • You’ll track changes, verify time-and-material work, and measure and document job quantities.
  • You’ll coordinate inspection activities on complex, large-scale construction projects involving contractors, engineers, city officials, and other stakeholders.
  • You’ll identify and address code violations and review electronic contract documents, including change orders, submittals, RFIs, and other inspection documents, using systems and tools such as PM Web, Adobe Pro, and Bluebeam.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. You may be required to work various shifts, including day, swing, and night.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 5 or more years of experience performing as a LADBS Deputy Building Inspector on large-scale projects
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Current City of Los Angeles Deputy Inspector Licenses; Grading, or Post Tensioning (Pre-Stressed)
  • Proof of 30-hour Cal-OSHA training completed within the 4 years prior to assignment

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

  • The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
  • You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
  • AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
  • Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
  • Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
  • Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
  • Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.

ABOUT ACCENTURE CONSTRUCT

  • The data centers behind AI. The grid behind the energy transition. The rail, water and airports everything else runs on.
  • We plan them, engineer them, deliver them and hand them over - and unlike most of this market, we're on the hook for whether they land on time. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC. One team that owns the whole thing.
