Original job description

You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."

You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.

At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving - smarter, safer and more sustainably.

You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.

Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.

Visit us here to learn more about Accenture Construct

As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details.

THE WORK:

You’ll deliver complex, multi-jurisdictional bridge and roadway improvement projects, supporting the Resident Engineer throughout construction.
You’ll perform and oversee daily field inspections and quality assurance activities, verifying contractor work against approved plans, specifications, and special provisions.
You’ll coordinate with contractors, utilities, public agencies, and Construction Management Consultants to resolve field issues and minimize delays.
You’ll review contractor submittals, RFI responses, progress schedules, and other project documentation.
You’ll oversee and document construction materials testing and sampling to confirm compliance with project requirements, collaborating with staking, materials testing, and environmental monitoring teams.
You’ll support contract administration, including change order preparation and negotiation, pay estimates, correspondence, and claims documentation.
You’ll track contractor progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
You’ll perform or support calculations for grade, alignment, quantities, falsework, shoring, and structural components from foundation and falsework through bridge deck placement and roadway tie-ins.

WORK LOCATION:

Flexible: this role mixes remote work, client sites and Accenture offices.

Every role here has some in-person time - for collaboration, for learning, and because capital projects happen in physical places. We'll be as flexible as we can around how you make that work.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

California Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, Engineer In Training (EIT) required.
Eight (8) years of roadway/highway construction inspection and field engineering experience on major public works projects
One (1) Caltrans-administered or federally funded highway project
Minimum three (3) years of experience in structural mechanics, stress analysis, or bridge construction inspection

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

Demonstrated knowledge of concrete and steel bridge materials, falsework, and shoring systems, with experience as an Assistant or Resident Engineer on bridge, river crossing, roadway, or heavy civil construction projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead field inspection staff, coordinate with contractors and public agencies, and make timely, technically sound field decisions.
Proficiency in Caltrans construction documentation standards, E-Builder/PMCS systems, and Microsoft Office, with familiarity in environmental compliance and stormwater management on Caltrans projects.
Experience with tolling, smart corridor, or ITS-equipped roadway projects; prior work with Riverside County, the City of Riverside, or Caltrans District 8 is highly desirable.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU

The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
