Original job description

About Acast Since 2014, Acast has been building the world’s most valuable podcast marketplace, creating the technology that connects podcast creators, advertisers, and listeners. Its marketplace spans more than 140,000 podcasts, 3,300 advertisers, and one billion quarterly listens. Crucially, those listens are monetized wherever they happen - across any podcast app or listening platform.

About the role As Content Development Manager, your work will be integral to Acast’s content acquisition efforts in the US market and the execution of our broader content strategy. You will work closely with the development team to identify new potential partnership opportunities across various creator types.

What you'll do Relationship Building & Prospecting

  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the podcast space: independent podcasters, media companies, talent agencies, management companies, and production companies.
  • Identify new content partners that bring new audiences to Acast across multiple platforms, including RSS, video platforms, and social media.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities in the podcast space.

Pitching & Negotiation

  • Pitch Acast’s products and services, tailoring a compelling narrative to a creator’s specific needs.
  • Lead negotiations with creators and their representatives, bringing creative, sustainable deal structures that align partner incentives with Acast’s growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work collaboratively with the Creator Management team to assist in the ongoing management of key partnerships.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to ensure smooth partner onboarding and alignment for strategic initiatives.

Who you are

  • Fluent in both traditional media and the emerging creator economy, with a clear point of view on where US podcasting is going.
  • Strong commercial instincts with demonstrated ability to build a robust pipeline, pitch effectively, and negotiate agreements.
  • Fluency in YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms, with an instinct for how creators build audiences and businesses across them.
  • Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to keep the big picture in focus.
  • A proactive, highly organized, and collaborative team player who brings creativity and high motivation to the table.
  • Experience in audio, digital media, marketing, or branded content is a plus.
  • Direct experience working with talent and talent representation is highly advantageous.

Salary range: $85000 - $90000 yearly
