Original job description

Absolute Business Solutions Corp (ABSC) is not just another tech company. We’re a community of innovators, engineers, analysts and business professionals working together with our customers to tackle the most complex challenges. For more than 20 years we’ve supported critical Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), Federal Civilian missions and global, multi-national corporations. We specialize in supporting our clients in the Intelligence, Technology, Defense, AI/ML, and Data Science fields. As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, we need some amazing new professionals to join our team.

ABSC has an exciting opening for a TS/SCI-cleared Software Engineer supporting the long-term DIA-NDOC DTP contract. You will develop and sustain Python-based microservices and backend capabilities that enable real-time and batch data processing for mission applications. You will work closely with Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Architects, and Operations Engineering teams to deliver reliable software enhancements and production deployments.

The 10-year DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) program modernizes the secure data, application, and infrastructure capabilities supporting DIA’s National Digital Exploitation & OSINT Center (NDOC). The program delivers scalable media processing, data discovery, enrichment, and analytical services that help mission users transform large volumes of digital information into timely, actionable intelligence. Team members work across software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, platform operations, and mission integration to sustain current operations while delivering the next generation of DTP capabilities.

Work location and schedule: Most work is performed onsite at the customer location in Bethesda, MD. A flexible schedule and occasional remote work may be available based on customer requirements and deliverables.

Security clearance required for this role: An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

As an integral member of the DTP team, you will work closely with Government stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams on the following key tasks:

  • Develop, test, debug, document, and maintain Python-based microservices in accordance with established requirements and design specifications.
  • Develop and maintain Elasticsearch integrations supporting real-time and batch data indexing, search, and retrieval.
  • Write and execute unit and integration tests to improve software quality, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, sprint planning, and software development activities.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and operational issues using logs, metrics, and observability tools.
  • Support containerized application development and deployment in Linux environments.
  • Use Git and collaborative development workflows to manage source code and changes.
  • Manage assigned development priorities, deliverables, risks, and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and supportable mission capabilities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field with four or more years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with two or more years of relevant experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
  • Experience developing software applications using Python.
  • Experience with containerization technologies.
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting software in a Linux environment.
  • Experience using Git and collaborative software development workflows.
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned development tasks while collaborating effectively with a cross-functional team.

Desired Skills

You will wow us even more if you have some of these skills:

  • Familiarity with NVIDIA DGX systems.
  • Elasticsearch certification or other relevant technology-stack certification.
  • Experience supporting production or enterprise-scale software systems.
  • Experience developing applications that use Large Language Models or Agentic AI.

Salary and Compensation
