Original job description

Absolute Business Solutions Corp (ABSC) is not just another tech company. We’re a community of innovators, engineers, analysts and business professionals working together with our customers to tackle the most complex challenges. For more than 20 years we’ve supported critical Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), Federal Civilian missions and global, multi-national corporations. We specialize in supporting our clients in the Intelligence, Technology, Defense, AI/ML, and Data Science fields. As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, we need some amazing new professionals to join our team.

ABSC has an exciting opening for a TS/SCI-cleared Senior Product Owner supporting mission software design, engineering, development, integration, and deployment for DIA-NDOC under the DTP contract. You will own a portion of the task order’s product portfolio, guide application teams, and translate Government roadmap priorities into executable engineering work and delivered mission value.

The 10-year DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) program modernizes the secure data, application, and infrastructure capabilities supporting DIA’s National Digital Exploitation & OSINT Center (NDOC). The program delivers scalable media processing, data discovery, enrichment, and analytical services that help mission users transform large volumes of digital information into timely, actionable intelligence. Team members work across software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, platform operations, and mission integration to sustain current operations while delivering the next generation of DTP capabilities.

Work location and schedule: Most work is performed onsite at the customer location in Bethesda, MD. A flexible schedule and occasional remote work may be available based on customer requirements and deliverables.

Security clearance required for this role: An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

As an integral member of the DTP team, you will work closely with Government stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams on the following key tasks:

  • Manage, direct, coordinate, and provide technical direction for research, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of NDOC mission applications.
  • Own an assigned portion of the task order’s product portfolio and manage relationships and dependencies across applications and teams.
  • Lead feature and requirements analysis, solution design, implementation planning, integration, test, sustainment, documentation, deployment, and system assessment.
  • Develop, prioritize, and continually improve the Agile team backlog.
  • Translate complex mission requirements into actionable features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, demonstrations, retrospectives, and dependency discussions.
  • Manage risks, escalate impediments, and maintain visibility into delivery commitments and stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure sound engineering, security, testing, and DevOps practices are followed.
  • Communicate technical and programmatic status to Government and contractor stakeholders.
  • Mentor mid-level and junior engineers and support their technical and professional development.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field with 12 or more years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 10 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
  • Experience as a Technical Product Owner, Development Team Lead, Systems Engineer, or similar leader within an Agile software-development team.
  • Demonstrated ability to break complex problems into actionable steps.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Experience facilitating Agile team ceremonies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional coordination among engineering, design, security, testing, operations, and project-management teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder expectations and relationships.

Desired Skills

You will wow us even more if you have some of these skills:

  • Development or scripting experience with Java, Python, or .NET.
  • Experience developing microservices and deploying them with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.
  • Strong automated-testing discipline.
  • Knowledge of NDOC or former NMEC applications such as Storefront or Harmony.
  • Experience with digital forensics, multimedia enrichment, image processing, or AI-driven processing systems.
  • Experience identifying technical debt and systemic improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge of authentication, authorization, secrets management, and data protection.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, or cloud infrastructure.

Salary and Compensation

Salary is commensurate with education and years of experience. The anticipated salary range for this requisition is $135,000 - $245,000 annually. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, the responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, security clearance, internal equity, applicable market data, contractual labor-category requirements, applicable bargaining agreements, and other applicable laws or requirements.
