Original job description
Absolute Business Solutions Corp (ABSC) is not just another tech company. We’re a community of innovators, engineers, analysts and business professionals working together with our customers to tackle the most complex challenges. For more than 20 years we’ve supported critical Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), Federal Civilian missions and global, multi-national corporations. We specialize in supporting our clients in the Intelligence, Technology, Defense, AI/ML, and Data Science fields. As we continue to grow at a rapid pace, we need some amazing new professionals to join our team.
ABSC has an exciting opening for a TS/SCI-cleared Product Owner supporting the design, engineering, development, and deployment of mission software for DIA-NDOC under the DTP contract. You will lead an Agile application team and work with Government leads, the Lead Systems Engineer, and the Release Train Engineer to turn roadmap priorities into valuable delivered capabilities.
The 10-year DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) program modernizes the secure data, application, and infrastructure capabilities supporting DIA’s National Digital Exploitation & OSINT Center (NDOC). The program delivers scalable media processing, data discovery, enrichment, and analytical services that help mission users transform large volumes of digital information into timely, actionable intelligence. Team members work across software development, systems engineering, cybersecurity, platform operations, and mission integration to sustain current operations while delivering the next generation of DTP capabilities.
Work location and schedule: Most work is performed onsite at the customer location in Bethesda, MD. A flexible schedule and occasional remote work may be available based on customer requirements and deliverables.
Security clearance required for this role: An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI polygraph is required.
Responsibilities
As an integral member of the DTP team, you will work closely with Government stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams on the following key tasks:
- Manage, direct, coordinate, and provide technical direction for research, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of NDOC mission applications.
- Plan and oversee implementation of tools supporting a high-throughput data pipeline focused on data enhancement and discoverability.
- Support requirements analysis, solution design, implementation planning, integration, test, documentation, deployment, sustainment, and system assessment.
- Own and prioritize the team’s product backlog and maintain relationships across applications and task-order teams.
- Decompose roadmap requirements into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint-ready work.
- Facilitate sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily scrums, sprint reviews and demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Manage delivery risks, escalate impediments, and coordinate dependencies across engineering, design, testing, security, operations, and project-management teams.
- Ensure sound engineering and testing practices are followed.
- Communicate priorities, status, risks, and delivered value to Government and contractor stakeholders.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the team.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field with eight or more years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with six or more years of relevant experience.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
- Experience as a Product Owner, Team Lead, Scrum Master, or similar leader on a software-development team.
- Demonstrated ability to break complex problems into actionable steps.
- Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs.
- Strong understanding of Agile methods and experience using GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience facilitating Agile team ceremonies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work across engineering, design, testing, and project-management teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage expectations and relationships with Government and contractor stakeholders.
Desired Skills
You will wow us even more if you have some of these skills:
- Development or scripting experience with Java, Python, or .NET.
- Experience developing microservices and deploying with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.
- Strong automated-testing discipline.
- Knowledge of NDOC or former NMEC applications such as Storefront or Harmony.
- Experience with digital forensics, multimedia enrichment, image processing, or AI-driven processing systems.
- Experience managing technical debt and systemic process improvements.
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, secrets management, and data protection.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, GraphQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Keycloak, or cloud infrastructure.
