Job Description

The Customer Logistics Planner is the execution and control hub for outbound shipments in the Gaucho third-party manufacturing model. The role coordinates end-to-end order and shipment execution from second-leg stock transport order creation through shipment departure, documentation archiving, exception resolution and stakeholder communication.

The planner helps protect supply continuity and customer service by maintaining accurate system transactions, compliant shipping documentation, timely visibility and early escalation of risks.

The Customer Logistics Planner owns shipment execution and visibility within the Shipment CoE, while Transportation retains ownership of carrier strategy, transportation procurement and carrier management.

Key responsibilities

  • Order and delivery execution: Create and manage second-leg STOs and outbound deliveries in SAP; update weights and measurements using the Nota Fiscal; create packing lists; post goods issue for departed shipments; and provide accurate shipment data to support commercial invoicing.
  • Shipping and export documentation: Prepare pro forma invoices and other shipment documentation for customs and payment purposes; check completeness and compliance; and archive final shipping documentation in the designated repository.
  • Shipment control and visibility: Maintain shipping forecasts and master arrival schedules, monitor open orders and deliveries, review allocation issues and blocks, and escalate overdue or at-risk shipments.
  • Exception management: Coordinate resolution of shipment delays, booking constraints, documentation gaps, complaints, discrepancies, complex lane requirements and urgent business requests, working with Transportation and other relevant functions as needed.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Coordinate daily with the third-party manufacturer, Global Supply Planning, Transportation, affiliates, Global Trade Compliance, Finance, Quality, Planning and other supply chain partners. Engage with carriers as required in line with the agreed Transportation interface and operating model.
  • Affiliate and customer service: Provide timely updates and pre-alert information, align around holiday schedules and market-specific requirements, and support affiliates with complex export and transportation needs.
  • Performance and governance: Support operational and carrier performance reviews by providing shipment data, issue trends and execution insights, together with KPI reporting, month-end activities, audit readiness, process controls and the Calendar of Discipline.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify process gaps, improve standard work, strengthen controls and visibility, and contribute to scalable solutions as shipment volumes and regional complexity increase. Support stabilization and continuous improvement of new operating models as processes and interfaces mature.

Key interfaces Internal: Shipment CoE, Transportation, Global Supply Planning, Finance, Global Trade Compliance, Quality Assurance, Planning, manufacturing and distribution teams, and commercial affiliates. External: Third-party manufacturer, freight forwarders, service providers, destination-market partners and carriers, with carrier engagement coordinated through Transportation where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum three years of relevant experience in logistics, customer logistics, order management, supply chain execution, or a comparable environment.
  • Hands-on ERP experience, preferably SAP, including order, delivery, shipment, or inventory transactions.
  • Experience with international shipping documentation, export processes, customs-related requirements, and cross-functional stakeholder coordination.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage for international market support.
