Description A.L. Hansen Mfg. Co., an ISO-9001 certified company, and leading manufacturer in the commercial hardware industry located in Waukegan, IL is looking for a Material Handler to join our growing team.
Primary purpose of job:
Load trucks with outgoing material. Move, store and space material as directed.
Essential functions of job, frequency and percentage of time on the job:
- Store material in proper locations.
- Pull material for specific orders to be packed, using pick lists, and pick slips.
- Put back any unused material.
- Move material to the finished goods racks.
- Move packed orders off the floor to the staging racks.
- Consolidate packed orders on skids for shipment.
- Load trucks with outgoing materials.
- Cycle count boxes
- Move shipping and scrap material in and out of QC hold.
- Follow OSHA and Company safety standards.
- Must wear personal protective equipment such as ear and eye protection.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required skills, licenses, knowledge, experience or abilities:
- Must be able to obtain license for forklift.
- Read and comprehend all paperwork related to shipping.
- High level of attention to detail for proper documentation to maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Knowledge of computers to maintain inventory.
- Ability to use and operate electronic weight scale, stapler, tape gun, automatic shrink-wrap machine, pallet jacks and hand held carts.
- Operate order pickers.
