The A.C.Coy company has an immediate opening for an Accounting Manager. Ideal candidates must have a degree in accounting, several years of accounting experience showing progressive responsibility, and experience overseeing a team.
Responsibilities
- Oversees and provides guidance to senior and staff accountants related to accounting processes and procedures
- Prepares monthly journal entries and financial statements for the company and its affiliates
- Prepares appropriate tax returns and various other analyses and reports as required
- Supports external auditors and managers with audits
- Applies Lean principles to continually identify areas of efficiency related to departmental processes
- Supports continued automation of processes
- Responsible for the oversight and professional development of 5+ subordinates
Qualifications
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA preferred
Experience Required
- 6+ years of progressively more responsible accounting duties
- 2+ years supervisory experience
- Strong experience working with accounting software packages and Excel
- Knowledge and experience in preparing complex accounting reports and problem resolution
- Strong interpersonal skills
